GROUP 9 LANDSLIDE SUSCEPTIBILITY

Firstly Analyse and process various Factor maps

...

We process various factor maps such as geological factor maps, geomorphological factor maps, hydrotopographical factor maps and anthropogenic factor maps to get the value of Weight of index (WoE). Purpose of getting WoE value for landslide susceptibility mapping is to assess the significance of different factors or variables in influencing the likelihood of landslides. WoE analysis assigns weights to different factors based on their impact on landslide occurrence

Secondly From each Factor map, calculate the WoE

...

From the processed map, we reclass its pixel count. Next, we extract it with land inventory data to get pixel count value at landslide inventory. So with both count values, we substitute it in the Weight of index formula to get the WoE value. We use this step for all 20 different types of maps

Lastly Combine all the WoE to produce a map

...

Once we get Woe value for 20 different maps, we combine all the WoE values from all different types of maps to produce one single map which is the landslide susceptibility map. Reclass the value into five classes which is Very high, High, Medium, Low, and Very low
